Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department Neighborhood Engagement team spent time with members of the community who attended the Community Opportunity Event (The COE), where several participants won a Shop with a Cop experience.
The experience allowed officers and community members to spend time together in a positive setting while building stronger relationships through direct engagement outside of routine police work.
Organizers expressed appreciation for the opportunity to provide the experience, noting it helped strengthen community trust and created a meaningful outing for those involved.
Support for the program came from Walmart in Bellmead, which donated funds that made the Shop with a Cop experience possible.
Officials also thanked The COE for helping bring participants and officers together for the event.
