Waco, TX – The City of Waco, along with project partners and Pet Circle Regional Animal Center representatives, held a plaque-signing ceremony at the site of the future veterinary clinic, marking a major milestone in the construction project.
Officials said the plaque has been installed on a structural truss inside the building, symbolizing the collaboration between the city and partners involved in developing the facility.
The planned 4,775-square-foot veterinary clinic is expected to expand shelter services and include 13 indoor and outdoor isolation kennels, an X-ray room, a large clinical treatment area, an animal recovery room, two surgery suites, a lobby, three offices, and staff accommodations.
City officials said the expansion will also allow for dedicated illness isolation kennels, helping ensure that adoption kennels remain available for animals ready to find new homes.
Construction crews have recently completed roofing work, while interior construction, utility installation, and masonry façade work continue on the building.
Officials said the project is on track for completion by the end of 2026, adding that the new clinic will improve veterinary care capacity and support ongoing animal welfare services in the city.
