Waco, TX – The City of Waco marked National Arbor Day this week with a community event held at the Bledsoe-Miller STEAM Center, bringing together city leaders, volunteers, and community partners.
The event began with a park cleanup led by Keep Waco Beautiful, followed by Mayor Jim Holmes presenting an official Arbor Day proclamation recognizing the importance of trees and green spaces in the community.
The celebration concluded with a tree planting ceremony.
City officials said Arbor Day serves as an annual reminder of the shared responsibility to care for trees, which provide shade, improve air quality, and enhance the city’s overall environment and appearance.
The City of Waco thanked Keep Waco Beautiful, volunteers, and city crews for their efforts in helping make the event possible.
