Waco, TX – Waco officials are helping residents and visitors prepare for this weekend’s Fourth on the Brazos celebration by releasing detailed event layout and logistics information ahead of the free Independence Day event.

According to the Waco Police Department and Brazos Nights organizers, the celebration will take place Saturday at Touchdown Alley at McLane Stadium, located at 1001 S. MLK Jr. Blvd. Gates are scheduled to open at 6 p.m., with admission free to the public.

Officials shared a map-style overview of the event layout to help attendees locate entrances, stages, food trucks, restrooms, and other key areas throughout the venue. The guidance is intended to improve traffic flow and make the event more accessible for families attending the celebration.

Brazos Nights organizers said the event will include multiple entertainment and hospitality features, with food vendors, live performances, and designated viewing areas for attendees.

To assist with travel planning, officials also provided driving instructions for those traveling to the stadium area. Drivers approaching via Interstate 35 are advised to take Exit 335B toward MLK Jr. Blvd. and University Parks Dr. Due to ongoing construction in the area, officials warned that attendees should expect potential delays and are encouraged to allow extra travel time.

Event organizers recommended alternate approaches via La Salle Avenue or MLK Jr. Blvd. to help reduce congestion near the stadium.

Several parking options will be available for attendees, including McLane Stadium Lots 2 and 3, with Lot 4 designated for ADA parking and staff. Additional parking locations include the Ferrell Center, Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, East Campus Parking Garage, Baylor campus lots, and Foster Pavilion Garage.

Officials encouraged attendees to arrive early to allow enough time for parking, walking, and entry into the venue.

The Fourth on the Brazos celebration is part of Waco’s Independence Day festivities, marking the nation’s 250th anniversary. Organizers said they are expecting a large turnout and are encouraging visitors to plan ahead for a safe and smooth experience.
