Dallas, TEXAS – The Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to an animal rescue call on Canada Drive near Sylvan Avenue after a dog became stranded on a bridge structure.
According to officials, crews were dispatched at approximately 4:02 p.m. following reports from an animal control officer already on scene. The dog had become stuck on top of a pillar beneath the Topeka Avenue bridge.
While the animal did not appear to be in distress, officials said the location was difficult to access. Firefighters used a ladder truck to reach the area and safely bring the dog down.
Crews successfully completed the rescue without injury to the animal or responders.
