Houston, TX – The Houston Police Department has arrested a man accused of targeting homeless and disabled individuals in a series of assaults involving a high-powered, motorized water gun.
According to the department, investigators with the Major Offenders Division, assisted by the Westside Crime Suppression Team, investigated multiple incidents in which disabled and homeless victims were allegedly sprayed with the device.
Police identified the suspect as Cayce, who was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily injury.
Authorities allege that, in addition to spraying the victims with the motorized water gun, Cayce taunted them during the encounters and recorded videos of the incidents before posting them on social media.
The Houston Police Department did not release additional details about the number of victims involved or specify when the incidents occurred.
The investigation was led by HPD’s Major Offenders Division with assistance from the Westside Crime Suppression Team.
The case remains under investigation, and authorities have not announced whether additional charges may be filed.
