Dallas, TX – A three-alarm fire heavily damaged a former Victorian-style home that had been converted into a Pilates studio early Tuesday morning in Dallas.

According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, crews were dispatched just after 4 a.m. to the 2600 block of Routh Street following reports of a structure fire.

When the first fire companies arrived, they encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the building, prompting firefighters to launch an aggressive attack.

As conditions inside the structure worsened, incident commanders upgraded the response to a three-alarm fire, bringing in additional personnel and equipment to battle the blaze.

Firefighters remained on scene until the fire was brought under control and eventually extinguished.

The building, described as an old Victorian-style structure that had been converted into a Pilates studio, sustained significant fire damage.

Box 4 Firebuffs, the official provider of rehabilitation services for Dallas Fire-Rescue, assisted firefighters during the incident. The nonprofit, volunteer-staffed organization provides rehabilitation support for crews working extended emergency operations.

Dallas Fire-Rescue has not released information regarding the cause of the fire or whether any injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation.
