Waco, TX – Friends, family members and fellow firefighters gathered to celebrate the badge pinning ceremony for four of the Waco Fire Department’s newest firefighters.
According to the City of Waco, the ceremony honored Luke Gregory, Jacob Jaro, Zane Meinen and Roel Requena as they officially began their service with the department.
The badge pinning ceremony marks the start of the firefighters’ probationary year and symbolizes their commitment to serving the community as members of the Waco Fire Department.
During the event, family and friends joined department personnel in recognizing the achievement and the dedication required to reach the milestone.
Officials said the probationary period will provide the new firefighters with additional training and hands-on experience as they continue to develop their skills and prepare for the responsibilities of protecting lives and property throughout the city.
The Waco Fire Department welcomed the four firefighters to the agency and congratulated them on beginning their careers in the fire service.
