Waco, TX – The Waco Fire Department responded to three separate structure fires within less than an hour on June 6, including two house fires in Waco and a mutual aid response in Lacy Lakeview.
According to the department, firefighters were first dispatched to a working house fire in the 1400 block of Berkshire Drive at approximately 10:07 a.m. Crews arrived and began operations to bring the fire under control.
Less than 30 minutes later, at about 10:30 a.m., Waco Fire Department units were dispatched to another structure fire in the 1200 block of North 19th Street. Firefighters worked at the scene of the house fire while managing multiple active incidents across the area.
At approximately 10:44 a.m., Waco firefighters were called to assist the Lacy Lakeview and Bellmead fire departments with a house fire in the 200 block of South Joyce Street. The response was part of a mutual aid effort involving neighboring agencies.
The department did not immediately release information regarding injuries, the extent of damage, or the causes of the fires.
The series of incidents kept firefighters busy throughout the morning as crews responded to emergencies in multiple locations while also assisting surrounding communities. Officials have not indicated whether any of the fires were related.
The Waco Fire Department continues to work with partner agencies across the region through mutual aid agreements, allowing departments to provide additional personnel and equipment when needed during significant incidents.
