Waco, TX – Registration is now open for the 2026 Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge, titled “Summer of Stories,” according to the City of Waco Public Information Office.
The reading program, hosted by the Waco-McLennan County Library, will run from June 1 through July 31 and invites readers of all ages to participate by reading books, earning prizes, and attending free library programs throughout the summer.
City officials said participants can register online at wacolibrary.org or visit any Waco-McLennan County Library location to sign up.
Readers will also be able to track their progress and earn rewards through the Beanstack app during the challenge.
