Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department partnered with Main Event and UNIFY Waco to host a community engagement experience aimed at strengthening relationships between officers and local residents.
The collaboration included a local family who won a Main Event experience while attending The Community Opportunity Event. The initiative is part of ongoing relational policing efforts designed to build trust through shared, positive interactions outside of traditional law enforcement settings.
During the visit, officers spent time engaging directly with the family in recreational activities. Participants bowled together, played laser tag, and took part in other interactive games offered at the entertainment venue.
Officials involved in the event emphasized the value of informal community engagement, noting that partnerships with organizations like Main Event and UNIFY Waco help create opportunities for meaningful connection between public safety personnel and the communities they serve.
