Waco, TEXAS – The Waco Police Department thanked community members who participated in or supported the annual Police Memorial Run hosted by the Waco Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association.
According to the department, more than 200 people attended the event, which raised more than $13,000 for the nonprofit organization.
Officials said the run honors law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while also recognizing the daily work performed by officers serving the community.
The department expressed gratitude for the support shown by the Waco community and encouraged residents interested in joining the Waco Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association to learn more through the organization’s website.
