Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department has welcomed 10 new police officers who recently completed five months of training at the MCC Law Enforcement Academy.
According to the department, the officers have graduated from the academy and will now begin six months of interdepartmental training before serving independently on patrol.
The additional training period is designed to help the recruits gain practical experience and further develop the skills needed for law enforcement duties in the community. During the next several months, the officers will work alongside experienced personnel as they prepare for solo assignments.
The Waco Police Department said it is grateful that the new officers chose to begin their law enforcement careers in Waco and serve the city’s residents.
Department officials congratulated the recruits on reaching the milestone and welcomed them to the agency, noting that the new officers will help strengthen the department’s ability to serve and protect the community.
The officers are expected to complete their field training over the coming months before transitioning to independent patrol responsibilities.
