Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department identified the man who was killed in a shooting Sunday and announced two arrests in connection with the investigation.
Police said 28-year-old Victor Jesus Silva-Delgadillo died after officers responded to a shooting in the 3600 block of N. 20th St. at about 5:02 p.m. Aug. 23.
Officers found Silva-Delgadillo and a 19-year-old man at the scene. Both were taken to a hospital, where Silva-Delgadillo was later pronounced dead. The 19-year-old victim was expected to recover.
In an Aug. 24 update, police announced the arrests of 18-year-old Brayan Hernandez, who was charged with tampering with physical evidence, and 20-year-old Leonardo Servin, who was charged with deadly conduct.
Police said all parties involved knew each other and believe the shooting was an isolated incident. The department is continuing to investigate and said this was the fourth homicide investigation in Waco in 2026.
