Waco Police investigate fatal auto-pedestrian crash after 58-year-old man struck by Ford truck on I-35 service road

Waco Teenager Sentenced to 14 Years for Gang-Related Shooting

Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred early Monday morning on the service road of northbound I-35 near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

According to police, officers were called to the area at approximately 4:09 a.m. on October 5 after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

Investigators learned that a 58-year-old man was crossing the service road when he was hit by a Ford truck. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released the man’s identity. His identity will be released at a later time, and authorities said his next of kin has been notified.

The driver of the Ford truck was cooperative with investigators, and no arrests have been made in connection with the crash.

The Waco Police Department said the investigation remains ongoing as officers work to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
