One Dead, Three Injured After Road Rage Incident in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas – A deadly road rage confrontation early Sunday morning in Houston led to a shooting and a subsequent crash, leaving one man dead and three others, including the suspect, injured, authorities reported.

The Houston Police Department responded to a call around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Westheimer and Crossview. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the victim had been involved in a road rage incident moments before the shooting. The suspect, whose identity has not been released, allegedly shot the victim before fleeing the scene.

According to HPD, the suspect was driving recklessly at high speeds and subsequently crashed at the intersection of Westheimer and Jeanetta, roughly a block away from where the shooting occurred. The crash caused injuries to two individuals, both of whom were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

When officers arrived at the second crash site, they discovered the suspect had also sustained a gunshot wound. The suspect was taken to the hospital, but their condition remains unknown. Investigators have not yet clarified whether the suspect was shot during the initial road rage incident or after the crash.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities have not disclosed further details at this time.
