18-year-old dead following shooting in Waco, police searching for suspect

Waco Teenager Sentenced to 14 Years for Gang-Related Shooting

Waco, TX – Waco Police are investigating a homicide after an 18-year-old male was shot and killed on the evening of September 21, 2025.

Officers responded to a shooting near the 900 block of N. 9th St. at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Two males were shot and transported to a local hospital. The 18-year-old victim was pronounced deceased, and next of kin have been notified. A 19-year-old male remains in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and authorities believe the incident was isolated.

Police are asking anyone with information to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers by calling 254-753-HELP (4357).

Tips that lead to an arrest could result in a reward of up to $2,000.

This marks the eighth homicide investigation in Waco for 2025. The investigation is ongoing.
