Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department participated in this year’s Juneteenth Parade, joining community members for the morning celebration in Waco.
Officials said the department was proud to take part in the event and described the turnout as strong, with officers spending the morning engaging with residents throughout the community.
The parade was organized by the Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce, which the department praised for hosting a successful event that brought the community together.
Waco Police said the occasion provided an opportunity to honor history while connecting with the present-day community and highlighting ongoing public service efforts.
The department closed its message with the theme, “Honor the past. Serve the present. Inspire the future.”
