Waco, TX – The Waco Parks and Recreation announced that Flat Rock Road will temporarily close beginning June 1 as work continues on the China Spring Park project.
According to officials, the road will be fully closed between Jonquil Drive and Country Lake Drive for approximately two weeks. A detour route will be posted to help drivers navigate around the construction area safely.
City officials said the closure is necessary for utility work connected to the development of China Spring Park. The upcoming park is expected to feature a playground, splash pad, walking and biking trails, restrooms, a community pavilion, and a full-size sports court.
The City of Waco Public Information Office encouraged residents to plan ahead, follow posted detour signs, and use caution while traveling through the area in Waco.
