Waco, TX – The City of Waco Public Information Office said this year’s Household Hazardous Waste Day was a major success, with hundreds of residents participating in the community cleanup effort.
According to city officials, 677 households took part in the event by disposing of hazardous household materials during Saturday’s collection day. Items collected included paint, tires, batteries, electronics, and other waste products.
Officials thanked residents for participating and helping reduce the harmful environmental impact hazardous waste can have on water, air, and soil throughout Waco.
