Houston, TX – The Houston Police Department announced that officers arrested three individuals and seized more than $351,000 in cash during an investigation into an illegal gambling operation.
According to the Department, officers with HPD’s Vice Division, SWAT, Midwest CST, and DRT units from the Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast divisions served a search warrant May 27 at 9371 Richmond Avenue.
Police said the operation resulted in the arrest of three people on charges related to gambling promotion. Investigators also seized evidence from the location, including $351,923 in cash.
In addition to the arrests, citations were issued for building, fire code, and health violations at the property.
The Houston Police Department said it will continue targeting illegal activity through proactive enforcement, neighborhood partnerships, and focused policing efforts aimed at protecting the safety and well-being of local communities.
