Killeen, TX — The Killeen Police Department is investigating a homicide after two people were found dead inside a residence on Bluestem Lane, according to officials.
Officers were dispatched on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at approximately 1:55 p.m. to the 4200 block of Bluestem Lane after receiving a request for a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers located a 74-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man deceased inside the home.
Both individuals were pronounced dead at 3:57 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Nicola James.
Authorities said the identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators said preliminary findings suggest the incident was domestic-related and appears to be a murder-suicide.
The Killeen Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, Robbery-Homicide Unit, is continuing to investigate the case. Officials said no further details are available at this time.
