Waco, TX – The City of Waco announced the celebration of National Public Works Week from May 17 through May 24, highlighting the employees who help maintain essential city services.
According to the city, Public Works professionals play a key role in supporting community health, safety, and quality of life.
Their responsibilities include maintaining streets and drainage systems, managing solid waste operations, and overseeing utilities across the city.
This year’s observance is designed to give residents an opportunity to learn more about Public Works operations, meet staff members, explore city equipment, safely dispose of hazardous materials, and explore potential career opportunities with the City.
