Waco, TX – The Waco Fire Department responded to a hazardous materials incident on the 100 block of S. IH-35 above University Parks Dr., where crews were called to a large fuel leak.
According to the department, units and the HazMat Team were actively operating at the scene to manage the spill and reduce potential risks to the surrounding area.
As a result of the incident, southbound lanes on S. IH-35 were closed while emergency personnel worked to contain the leak and ensure roadway safety.
Officials have not released additional details regarding the cause of the fuel leak or whether any injuries were reported.
