Waco, TX – Greg Abbott announced that Texas has been awarded the 2026 Prosperity Cup by Site Selection magazine, recognizing the state as the top performer for job-creating business investment.
Abbott said the recognition reflects Texas’ strong business climate, driven by pro-growth policies and a skilled workforce, positioning the state for continued economic success.
According to Site Selection, Texas led across multiple categories in the Prosperity Cup index, including business expansion, capital investment, job creation, tax climate, and workforce readiness.
Officials noted this marks the second consecutive year Texas has earned the publication’s “Triple Crown” distinction. Earlier in 2026, Texas also received the Governor’s Cup for attracting the most new and expanded business facility projects for the 14th consecutive year, along with recognition for having the top business climate in the nation for a third straight year.
State leaders said the continued recognition highlights Texas’ competitiveness in attracting and growing business investment across the country.
