Waco, TX – This week, Greg Abbott announced several appointments and reappointments of qualified individuals to serve in key judicial and infrastructure-related roles across the state.
Abbott appointed Gina Long as Judge of the 170th Judicial District Court in McLennan County. Her term is set to expire on December 31, 2026.
The governor also reappointed Bruce Oakley to the Board of Pilot Commissioners for Harris County Ports, with a term scheduled to expire on February 1, 2028.
In transportation governance, Abbott reappointed Robert L. Lozano as presiding officer of the Hidalgo County Regional Mobility Authority.
The agency oversees the planning, financing, construction, and maintenance of transportation projects.
He also reappointed Gary Halbrooks as presiding officer of the North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority, which manages transportation development efforts across 14 counties in the region.
State officials said the Regional Mobility Authorities play a key role in supporting infrastructure growth by developing and maintaining transportation projects designed to improve connectivity and mobility across Texas.
