Houston, Texas – Greg Abbott marked the 75th annual National Day of Prayer during the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast, where he addressed more than 500 faith leaders and residents.
Abbott emphasized the importance of prayer and faith, encouraging Texans to remain steadfast in all circumstances and to trust in God’s guidance. He also called on attendees to pray for law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
During the event, the governor presented the Texas Day of Prayer proclamation, officially designating May 1 as a day for Texans to come together in prayer, reflect on their faith, and express gratitude.
The gathering included several state leaders and community figures, highlighting the role of faith-based unity across Texas.
